Melvin W. Tournay

Melvin W. Tournay Melvin Wayne Tournay, 50, of Ripley, passed away at Jackson General Hospital Sunday, May 19, 2013 following a sudden illness. He was born January 13, 1963 in Weirton WV, son of Bonnie Larkey Lowry of Steubenville, OH and the late Melvin Ray Tournay. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a self-employed Mason in the construction industry. Family and friends, especially his grandchildren, were the main interests in his life followed closely by golf. He was a member of Greenhills Country Club, Silverton. In addition to his mother, survivors include: His wife of 12 years, Lisa Padgett Tournay; Son, Brandon Clendenin of Ripley; Daughters, Tiffany Neal (James) of Cottageville and Rebecca Lawrence (Charles) of Cottageville; Brothers, Phillip Lowry of Weirton, WV and Wayne Lowry of Steubenville, O; Sisters; Linda Perry of Peachtree City, GA and Darla Melching of Minerva, OH; Grandchildren, Jaycob and Alexis Neal and McKenzie and Madison Lawrence. A celebration of Melvin's life will be held Wednesday evening from 5-8p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated following the Wednesday visitation.
