Melvin Leroy Weaver, 81, of Millwood passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg following an extended illness. He was born September 30, 1939 in Akron, OH a son of the late Bruce and Helen Cramer Weaver. Melvin will be remembered as a good Christian man and devoted loyal husband. He enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and in earlier years, camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his favorite cat, Butterscotch. He is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Sharon Casto Weaver. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins across the United States. In addition to his parents Melvin was preceded in death by a brother, Harry and a sister, Pauline. A memorial service to celebrate Melvin’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 26th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment with Military Rites performed by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Siniaville Cemetery, Statts Mill.
