Michael Odell Bowling

Michael Odell Bowling, 35, of Cottageville left this world Saturday, July 14, 2018 at CAMC General Hospital. He was born August 23, 1982 at Charleston, a son of Ralph Bowling and Tina Burford. Michael, known to friends as Mike graduated from Ripley High School with the Class of 2000. He proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was currently working as a Derrick Hand for Key Energy. He will be remembered as a hard worker who loved providing for his family. He is survived by his fiancée Shanna Beckett; their daughter Brooklynn Kathleen Bowling; Father Ralph Bowling and Mother Tina Burford; Sister Brittany McHenry and her husband Joe; his nephew, Jackson. He is also survived by Grandparents James and Georgia Bowling and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents Franklin and Helen Burford. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 20th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Fred Gray officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with Military Rites performed by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty.
