Michael Ray Bragg

Michael Ray Bragg, 63 of Given, passed away May 4, 2018 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born July 22, 1954 in Madison, a son of Mildred Weekley Bragg and the late Jack Ray Bragg. He was a Welder with the Boilermakers Union, Local 667 and retired in 2009. He loved spending time with his family and in his spare time he was an avid Outdoorsman who loved to trout fish and hunt. At one time he lived in Montana and loved that part of the country and longed to take his children there one day. He was a talented guitarist who loved playing music with his friends. He was a great Storyteller who enjoyed the art of woodworking. In addition to his mother, Mildred Bragg, he is survived by his wife, Heidie Casto Bragg; sons Michael Bragg Jr., Christopher Bragg and Jerry Bragg; daughters Michala Bragg and Lanna Bragg; step son David Casto; brother Jackie Bragg; grandchildren Erika Bragg Lee, Samantha Bragg, Michael Bragg III, Madalynn Bragg, Natalie Bragg and Lydia Bragg; great grandson Mason Thomas Lee; nieces and nephews, Charles Lilly, Katye Bragg Robidart, Megan Bragg Shaver, Joseph Bragg, Houston Casto and Landon Casto. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Dale Bragg. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Elmer Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Emma Chapel Cemetery, Liberty.
