Michael L. Hall

Michael L. Hall, 80 of Kenna, passed away March 14, 2019 at Eldercare of Ripley following a long illness. Mike was born August 12, 1938 in Syble, WV, a son of the late George and Christina Martin Hall. He was a 1957 graduate of Ripley High School, served in the US Army Reserves and retired from Ravenswood Aluminum. He was a member of the Goodwill Community Church at Kenna. Mike helped shape the lives of many young men while coaching Midget League Football. All of his players remember him as a coach who cared for them and gave them a great foundation to play football in the future and live productive lives. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Ethel Irene Rhodes Hall; daughter Crystal Cunningham and her husband Tim; son Michael Hall Jr. and his wife Dianne; son-in-law Rickey Crihfield; sister, Jane Wheeler; sister-in-law Susie Hall, and nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Miki Crihfield; brothers Herm, Charles, Elmer, Jim and Curtis Hall; sisters Frances Sheets, Virginia Miller, Delphia Lanham and JoAnn Rhodes. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Aaron Melhorn officiating. Burial with Military Rites provided by the Jackson county Honor Guard will be in the Fairplain Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home.
