Mildred Louise "Lou" Goodwin, 86 of Ripley, passed away July 14, 2016 at Ravenswood Care Center following a long illness. She was born July 17, 1929 at Orgas, WV, a daughter of the late Peter Tilden and Maude Adkins Hendricks. Lou was a graduate with the class of 1947 of Seth High School, member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 17, Ripley and a founding member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ripley. She retired as a Teacher's Aide with Jackson County Board of Education. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Patrick H. Goodwin and a sister, Jean Hurley. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Hosaflook and her husband Bill of Evans and Patty Davis and her husband Steve of Ravenswood; sister June Peters and her husband Clyde; grandchildren, William Hosaflook and his wife Ashley, Michael Hosaflook and his wife Brooke and Stephanie Majetich and her husband A.J.; great grandchildren, Ellie, Lilah, Emma and Mikayla Hosaflook and a niece, Judy Peters. In honoring her wishes she will be cremated. A Memorial Service and Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Lakes Drive, Ripley. Inurnment at a later date will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. If desired, donations in memory of "Lou" may be made to the Kanawha Hospice.
