Mildred Marie Kerns

Mildred M. Crihfield Kerns, 78 of Ripley, passed away November 18, 2017 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a long illness. She was born February 23, 1939 at Letart, OH, daughter of the late Thomson Robert and Velma Fae Smith Crihfield. She was a waitress at the Village Cafeteria in Ripley, worked at the Go Mart Truck Stop in Fairplain and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Emzy Kerns who passed away August 8, 2014 and sisters Virginia Taylor, Elizabeth Robertson, Mary Crihfield and Cora Mullinex . She is survived by sisters Lorheda Osborn and Roberta Cottrell; brothers Samuel R. Crihfield, Bernard C. Crihfield, Wayne Crihfield and Ronald Crihfield all of Ripley and Larry E. Crihfield of Spencer; a niece whom was like a daughter, Evelyn Wells of Ravenswood Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor E.J. Dolin and Jeff Kerns officiating. Burial will be in the Kerns Cemetery, Kentuck. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Tuesday (two hours prior to the service) at the Funeral Home.
