Mildred Mae Wayne

Mildred Mae Wayne, 72, of Sandyville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on August 17, 1949 in Hurley, VA to the late Conley and Pauline Hurley Blankenship. She was a devout Christian and her family was her pride and joy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her late husband of 48 years Bobby R. Wayne; infant son Chris; sisters Wilma Jean Roberts and Brenda Sue and brothers, Copus and Paul Blankenship and Roger Hurley. Mildred is survived by her children Rocky Blankenship (Melissa), Teresa Belcher (Rob) and Kevin Wayne (Nikki); grandchildren Chris Blankenship (Rachel), Samantha Blankenship, Haley Wayne and Josalyn Jones; 2 great-granddaughters Lucy and Rosalyn; sisters Dorothy Prater, Joy Blankenship, Josie Bowles and brothers James and Daxter Blankenship. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 4th at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Bud McVey officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
