N. Keith Casto

N. Keith Casto, 87, of Columbus, OH formerly of Jackson County passed away on August 27, 2022 at Grant Hospital in Columbus surrounded by his loving family and friends. Keith graduated with the Ripley High School Class of 1954. He was the vice president of the Ripley FFA and was awarded the State Farmer Degree in 1953. Keith carried his love of farming throughout his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who had a lifelong respect for his country and fellow soldiers. Keith was employed by General Motors in Columbus where he would retire after 30 years of service. Keith enjoyed playing guitar and singing, hunting, flea markets and keeping the family farm in perfect condition alongside his brother, Ron. He also loved spending time with his dog, Little Bud. Keith was a kind and humble man who was known for his sense of humor and storytelling, where he could remember every detail of things from days past. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Ella, beloved parents Howard and Marie Casto and a brother, Carroll (GG) Keith is survived by brothers James (Jackie) of Newark, OH and Ronald (Pam) of Fairplain; sisters Karen Martin of Evans and Debbie Burdette (Mike) of Teays Valley; special friend Marie Anderson of Columbus; sisters-in-law Penny Casto and Bonnie Buck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, September 2nd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jerry Bonnett officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
