Nancy L. Roberts

Nancy Louise (McKinney) Roberts, 89 of Ripley, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 13, 2025, at Brookdale Charleston Gardens in Charleston, WV following a long illness.

She was born April 12, 1935, in Wide Mouth, WV, daughter of the late Robert Lee and Nellie B. Davis McKinney. She was a graduate of Herndon High School and operated the House of Glamour Salon in Ripley. In her earlier years she played in softball and basketball leagues. Nancy was a faithful member of the Ripley Baptist Temple where she sang in the choir and prior to that was a member of the Ladies Circle at Grace Gospel Church.

Nancy is survived by her children, Deborah “Debbie” Combs, Gary Wayne (Jill) Roberts and Denise Ann (Eddie) Richards; grandchildren Nathan Epling, Brian Epling, Sandy Edwards, Lindsey Roberts, Christopher Roberts, Thomas Robinson, Cheryl Cottrell, Lisa Jackson, Albert Flick and Cathy Boyce. Also Survived by 26 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jack C. Roberts; brother, Bobby McKinney; sisters, June Jones and Irene Griggs: and son-in-law, Louie Combs.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Ripley Baptist Temple in Ripley with Pastors Grant Garber and Rick Perrine officiating. Entombment will follow in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Friends may call on the family from 11:000 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at the church.
