Velva Naomi McCrady, 90 of Sandyville, passed away December 28, 2022 at the home of her daughter following a long illness.
Naomi was born September 14, 1932 in Kenna, WV, daughter of the late W.O. and Elva Jane Gandee. She was a 1951 graduate of Gilmore High School and worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Robert Harris for 40 years. Naomi and her, husband, Audis, loved traveling and vacationing, especially on their Goldwing. She was a member of the Independence United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parent’s she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Audis McCrady; a son-in-law, Clarence Ross; sister Glennis Shepherd and brother Carroll Gandee.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Ross of South Charleston and Jill (Jimmy) Youell of Ravenswood; grandchildren, Stacy (Ed) McFall, Cody (Tabitha) Youell and Taylor Youell; great grandchildren, Jesse McFall and his fiancée Olivia, Jarrett McFall and his fiancée Kaylee and Emilee McFall; sister Charlene Balis and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jarrod Caltrider officiating. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
