Neil Edwin Hughart

Neil E. Hughart, 79 of Cottageville, passed away February 25, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House following a long illness. He was born June 5, 1937 at Clintonville, a son of the late Lake and Lelia Hughart. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and served in Korea and many other places. He retired as a Locksman at the Racine Locks and Dam. He was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church. He is survived by wife of 50 years Diane Flanagan Hughart; a son Troy (Rosie) Hughart of Cottageville; brothers Wayne (Lucille) Hughart, Kirk Hughart; sisters Lynn (Doug) Samples, Linda (Danny) Webb and Yvonne (Dave) Butler. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Brett Hughart and Bart Hughart. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Adam Nestor officiating. Burial with Military Rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
