Nelda Mae Spencer

December 14, 1943 — October 11, 2018

Nelda Mae Spencer, 74, Kenna passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at CAMC General Hospital following an extended illness. She was born December 14, 1943 at Advent a daughter of the late John David and Zella Mae Good Robinson. She was a 1963 graduate of Ripley High School. She loved to bake and cook and made sure everybody never left her house hungry. She also never met a stranger. She is survived by her husband Warren Spencer; Children Melissa Butcher, Clifford James Butcher (Jennifer), and Becky Shaffer; Sisters Nona Lanham, Iva Taylor, and Donna Painter; Sisters-in-Laws Zelma Phillips and Dollie Boyce. Grandchildren Pete Jones, Allison Jones, Jacob Jones, Shayla Butcher, Levi Butcher, Cody Shaffer, and Jason Shamblin Jr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Robinson, and a sister-in-law Sissy Tignor. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, October 14th with Pastor David Spencer officiating. Visitation will be 12 noon until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery, Advent.
