Norma Jean Jeffers

Mrs. Norma “Jean” Jeffers, daughter of the late Velvie and Cleo Casto, was born on January 2, 1938 in Jackson County, West Virginia. Jean lived her entire life in West Virginia and passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2016 with her family present. Mrs. Jeffers was united in marriage to James Jeffers on January 8, 1955. She is survived by her husband of nearly 62 years, her two daughters, Jeanne Jeffers and Rhonda (David) Shaw, three grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, as well as two siblings, Ezzil Fields and Leslie Casto. She was preceeded in death by her parents, siblings Jesse Casto, Maxine Kessel and Patsy Crichfield, and her grandson, Travis Raines. Mrs. Jeffers was a member of Community Chapel Church in Cross Lanes. She was a long time employee at the Capital Market, selling produce with her husband. Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
