Norma Jean Parrish

Norma Jean Parrish passed away June 1, 2023. She was 89 years old.

She was born January 8, 1934 a daughter of the late Bert and Hazel (McPherson) Thompson and was raised on McGraw Run Road in Sandyville and lived on the family farm the rest of her life. She worked at the Dairy Queen in Ripley for 51 years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry “Hank” Parrish; two brothers Otis and Carl Ray Thompson; sisters Oma Belle Roberts, Lois Marie Hill and Joan Gentry.

Survivors are Doris McCormick of Hamilton, OH, Helen (Glenn) Cottrill of Washington, WV and Clair Dwight Thompson of Ravenswood; three stepsons Terry, Scott and Jamie Parrish as well as several nieces and nephews.

Per Jean’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service. A private service for the immediate family will be held at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Burial to follow in the Parrish Cemetery, LeRoy.
