Oma B. Roberts

Oma B. Roberts, 88, of Washington, WV, formerly of Belle, WV died December 6, 2016 at Camden Clark Hospital in Parkersburg. She was born May 14, 1928 in Jackson County, WV a daughter of the late Bert and Hazel Thompson. She was a kind spirt, a wonderful mother, wife, sister, and grandmother. She was a member of the Judson Baptist Church of Belle, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James A. Roberts, brothers Charles Otis Thompson and Carl Ray Thompson, and a sister, Joan Gentry. She is survived by sons Jerry Roberts (Norma) of Cross Lanes, WV and Michael Roberts of Sandyville, WV. Two grandchildren Chae’ Lee Roberts and Sean Michael Roberts; two step-grandchildren Gary and Terry Lanham, and one stepgreat-grandchild, Cullen Lanham; Sisters Lois Hill of Leory, WV, Doris McCormick of Hamilton, OH, Jean Parrish of Sandyville, Helen Cottrill (Glenn) of Washington, WV, and one brother, Clair Dwight Thompson (Betty) of Sandyville, WV. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Elder Glenn Cottrill and Pastor Charles Bolen officiating. Friends may call on the family from 12 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Fairplain Cemetery, Ripley.
