Orville Dan Shamblin Sr.

Orville Dan Shamblin Sr., 67 of Ripley passed away January 22, 2014 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born March 25, 1946 at Jackson County a son of the late Adam and Mary Spencer Shamblin. He worked many different job throughout his life and was known as someone that could do about anything. He retired from Fairplain Tractor Sales and formerly worked for the Ford Motor Company, had a Body Shop and the State of West Virginia. He was a Christian and attended the Ripley Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Nadine Price Shamblin; sons Orville Shamblin Jr and his wife Leah, Steve Shamblin and his wife Mary, Tony Shamblin and his wife Ella and Paul Shamblin and his wife Nicole; brother Floyd Shamblin of Carrollton, KY; sisters Julie Wiggins of Parkersburg, Dotty Hayes of Cottageville, Jean DeBerry of Parkersburg and Mary Southall of Fairplain; grandchildren Jessica Rose, Samantha Parsons, Justin, Logan, Jordan, Brandon, T.J., Austin, Cole, Kyle, , Adin and Johnny Shamblin, Izaiah Sharp, Ethan Shamblin, Kyra Winter, Peyton Shamblin and Steven Shamblin; a great granddaughter Gracelynn Shamblin and one other great grandchild. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Stanley Shamblin; brothers James, Virgil, Bill and Roy Shamblin and sisters Belva Farmer and Barb Newman. Funeral Service will be 1 pm Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Brent DeWees, Minister officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Ripley.
