Patricia Jane Braniff

Patricia Jane Braniff, 79, of Sandyville passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Marietta Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born June 21, 1941 in Wood County, WV a daughter of the late Amos E. and Juanita Virginia Wilcox Dailey. She was an avid miniature pony farmer and enjoyed camping. She also loved to fish and will be remembered as the bluegill slayer and was very proud of her garden where she grew many beautiful roses. She is survived by her daughters Althea Jean Hess and Eva Virginia Riggs Westfall; grandchildren April Balis, Paul E. Balis, Crystal Thomas, Don Riggs, Juanita Riggs, Dustin Hess and Benji Hess; great grandchildren Jalee Anderson, Kyle Miller and Austin Balis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years Charles Braniff; daughters Debra Darlen Balis and Vanessa Jane Staats and step-sister Betty Hanshaw. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 27th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jimmy Cox officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
