Patricia Ann Howery

Patricia A. Howery, 83 of Ripley, passed away December 28, 2017 at Jackson General Hospital following a long illness. She was born November 10, 1934 at Marmet, WV. the daughter of the late Jack and Katie Malone Massey. She attended East Bank High School. She loved her Lord and Savior and attended Ripley Baptist Temple. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed walking at Cedar Lakes, bowling and playing softball. Pat also enjoyed attending sporting events, and along with her husband Archie, were always there to support their children and grandchildren while they were playing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Archie Howery and brothers Thedford Massey, Jack Massey and half- brothers James Massey and Willie Malone. She is survived by four sons, Ken (Phyllis) Howery of Evans, Gene Howery of Ripley, Jerry (Angie) Howery of Ripley and Deron (Sandra) Howery of Ripley; grandchildren, Brian and Matt Howery, Stacy Moore, Alex Howery, Amanda Ashby, Nick Howery, Dustin Howery, Victoria Howery, Jackie Fitzpatrick and Kylee Miller; great grandchildren Zakkary, Roslyn, Bailey, Delaney, Addison, Jackson, Colt, Braxton, Brooklyn, Carter, Alea, Kassidy, Kelci, Alaina, Kaiden, Addalynn, Asher, Skylyn and August. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of Jackson General Hospital for the loving care given to Pat during her time in the hospital as well as the staff of Ravenswood Care Center and Belpre Landing.
