Patricia J. Picarella

Patricia Jane Picarella, 80 of Ripley, passed away January 18, 2019 at Charleston General Hospital following a long illness. She was born August 17, 1938 in Cannelton, WV , a daughter of the late Rev. Howard and Catherine Morris. She was a graduate of Montgomery High School and a homemaker. Patsy loved being with her family especially her grandbabies. She enjoyed Facebook and keeping up with friends and finding out what was going on. She was very proud of her father and his ministry. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, James “Jim” Picarella; Son Steve Picarella and wife Terry of Ripley; daughter, Lisa Reed and husband Bryan of Elizabeth; daughter-in-law Beth Picarella of Holley Springs, NC; brothers Howard W. “Slick” Morris of Ravenswood, John Morris and wife Carolyn of Shreveport, LA, Eli Morris of Ravenswood and Wayne Morris of Pt. Pleasant; sisters Sharon McDermott of Glasglow; grandchildren Erin Harvey, Meghan Sloan, Casey Laird, Ryan Picarella, Victor Rollins and TJ Rollins; great grandchildren, Campbell Harvey, Jackson Harvey, Emery Sloan, Waylen Sloan, Ezra Sloan, Kiley Rollins, Holden Rollins and Peyton Laird; brothers-in-law Clarence MCCoy of Ravenswood and Mickey McCann of New Jersey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, James “J.R.” Picarella Jr., sisters Nancy McCoy and Jackie McCann. Visitation will be Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastors Bradley Goodwin and Kevin McClung officiating.
