Patricia Jean Robertson

Patricia Jean Garrett Robertson, 78, of Davin, West Virginia, passed away on July 24th, 2024, in her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born on February 3rd, 1946, in Mallory, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles Edward Garrett and Edith May Garrett.

Patricia retired after 36 years as an English and Special Education teacher. She graduated from Marshall University with her master’s degree in education. She was a member of Big Spring Missionary Baptist Church in Mallory, West Virginia and attended Grace Gospel Baptist in Ripley, West Virginia. Patricia spent her days dutifully and lovingly serving the Lord. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, crocheting, completing crosswords and watching sports, especially when it was her grandchildren playing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lewis “Bill” Everrett Robertson; one son, James Robertson (Kristi); one daughter, Andrea Robertson (Patrick); one sister, Brenda Garrett Russell (Allen); two brothers, Edward Garrett (Jeannie) and Charles Garrett (Tiiu); two grandsons, Garrett Robertson and Isaac Robertson; two granddaughters Sarah McDonnell McKnight (Jacob) and Lauren McDonnell; one great-granddaughter, Charlotte McKnight.

In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her brother, Reggie Garrett.

Patricia will forever be remembered for her unwavering faith, contagious smile, sweet demeanor and witty remarks. She was the best wife, mom, and mamaw. Memories of her and those she created will be cherished forever.
