Patsy J. Leaptrot, of Kenna departed this life September 6, 2017. Pat was a resident of Kenna, where she lived most of her life. She was a graduate of Ripley High School and worked various jobs over the years: she was a phone company employee, a census taker, and a gift wrapper at Stone and Thomas, but first and foremost, she was a homemaker. She provided and maintained a loving home for her husband and her sons throughout her life. She was a member of the Watts Chapel Church and attended Warren Chapel. Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years Kenneth H. Leaptrot and her sons Kenny and his wife Donna, and Kip, and his wife Anita. She had four grandchildren that she was so very proud of , Brendon Leaptrot and his wife Maggie (Charleston), Katie Leaptrot and her husband Seth Gregory (Nashville, TN), Andrew Leaptrot (Kenna) and Taylor Leaptrot (Kenna); and one precious great grandson Coleman Leaptrot. She is also survived by her sister, Doris Boggess (New Manchester); sister-in laws, Louise Coleman (Mabelvale, AR) and Edna Leaptrot (Marion, AR) along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Goldie Rhodes, and her siblings, Euneva Monday, Juanita Slater and Kermit Rhodes. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hills Garden of Memories Pocatalico. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. The family offers sincere appreciation to Dr. Jack Kinder for his continued care of Pat over many years, to the doctors, nurses and paramedics of the Ripley EMS, to the Jackson General Hospital Staff, to the CAMC CP-ICU and Step-down Unit, and especially to Hubbard Hospice House nurses, staff and Dr. McCormick for their kindness and care for Pat and the family during this time.
