Patsy L. Simons

Patsy Louise (Wright) Simons, 83 of Spencer, went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2024 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, surrounded by her family.

She was born May 13, 1941 in Spencer, daughter of the late Oris and Flossie Anderson Wright. Patsy loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible every day and witnessing to her faith. She was a member of the Steele Hollow Community Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Loretta Chandler of Spencer, Anita Carbaugh of Ripley, David Simons of Cottageville, Bill and Kathy Simons of Spencer and Regina Craddock of Millwood and Chris McCroskey of Alabama; she is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Patsy was the last surviving member of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Oris Wright Jr., Charles Eugene Wright, Jack Vernon Wright and Thomas Henry Wright and sisters Lavis Greathouse and Bernice June Tanner.

Funeral Service will be 4 p.m. Thursday July 18, 2024 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jack Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call on the family from 2:00 pm until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
