Patti Nuckles Snyder

Patti Sue (Nuckles) Snyder, 73 of Evans, passed away July 9. 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, following a long illness. She was born July 12, 1948 in Charleston, daughter of the late Ralph and Lois Karr Nuckles. Patti graduated from Ripley High School with the Class of 1966. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. She worked as a Dispatcher for Jackson County for many years and retired from Voter Registration through the Jackson County Clerk’s office. She was a past member of the Junior Women Club of Ripley and was an advisor with the Juniorette’s. She also volunteered with Special Olympics. Patti’s greatest pride was in her family and she enjoyed following her grandchildren in their sporting events and school activities. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Robert “Bob” Snyder; daughters Melissa (Larry) Kessell and Melinda (Mark) Raynes Friend; brothers Ron (Lisa) Nuckles and Rob Nuckles; grandchildren, Trevor Jacob Kessell, Noah Robert Kessell and Lauren Marie Raynes. Patti is also survived by many extended family members and friends who were very special to her. In honoring her wishes she will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Dr. Ford Price officiating. A time of visitation with the family will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the “Angels” with Hospice and all the staff at Hubbard Hospice House for the kindness and care given to Patti during her illness.
