Paul V. Bourgeois, 79, of Ripley went home Friday, March 7, 2025 at his home following an extended illness.
Paul was born May 3, 1945 in Ripley a son of the late Robert “Bob” and Edna (Miller) Bourgeois. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Bobbie Miller and Jerry Bourgeois and sisters Donna Miller, Helen Bourgeois, Sue Bourgeois and Pam Anderson.
Survivors include his daughter Kelly Burns and husband William; grandson Alex Burns; brother Dale Bourgeois and Billy Bourgeois (Sharon). He is also survived by a special group of kids that called him PawPaw, Alexis Meador, Zoey Kessel, Sofia Meador, Ethan Meador Olivia Meador, Luke Franis, Reny Williams and CC Williams. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways and retired after 30 years of service. He loved spending time on the farm as well as spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
