Paul King

April 2, 1952 — July 8, 2016

Paul E. King Jr., 64 of Evans, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 2, 1952 at Charleston, a son of the late Paul E. Betty Randolph King. Paul was a very strong person, some would say Superman, with a great will to live and enjoy each day to its fullest. He faced every obstacle with a positive attitude and surety that someone else must be worse off than he. Showing what a giving, caring, loving and compassionate person he was. He fought the fight with all he had until the very end. He was happiest surrounded by family and friends. He was an awesome grandparent (grampie, papapaul). He loved playing video games, cards, fishing or just hanging as long as they were near. He strived everyday to be the best dad and grandpa he could possibly be to those near and far. Those of us who loved him so much will miss him greatly. We take comfort in the fact that he is in Heaven happy and healthy. We are blessed to have many many happy funny memories to look back on He is survived by his wife of 31 years years, Janet King; son David Ray; daughters Shanna Mohney, Tonya Phillips and Nikki Smith; grandchildren Kayla Phillips, Katie Phillips, Tessa Ray, Levi Ray, Eli Smith and Everleigh Smith; sisters Brenda (Don) Rollman, Karen (John) Woolley and Denise (Ron) Lewis. He is also survived by his loving dog, Sammy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Brett Brotherton Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Ben Riggleman officiating.
