Paul Robert Wines Sr.

Paul Robert Wines, Sr., 82 of Sandyville, WV passed away peacefully at home on October 7, 2024 after an extended illness. He was born at home in Jackson County on November 4, 1941 to Roy and Edith McPherson Wines. He graduated from Gilmore High School in 1958. He then entered the Air Force and served for 4 years. He later went to work at Kaiser Aluminum and retired after 37 years of service from Constellium. He loved farming and over the years he raised tobacco, many vegetables as well as several head of cattle. He enjoyed picking blackberries and woodworking.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris Faye Wilkinson Wines, a son Brian Keith and a granddaughter Amanda Brooke Poling, brothers Charles, Jim and Larry Dean and sister Helen Wyant. He is survived by his sister Sue Stockholm, oldest son Paul, Jr. and his wife Beth, daughter Rhonda Gayle Anthony and her husband Paul, grandchildren Megan (Nathan) Casto, Katelin Wines, Caleb (Tara) Morrison and Brody Wines, great grandchildren Britain Casto, Braylen Casto, Bailey Casto, Presley Wines, Harley Wines, Addison Morrison, Axel Morrison, and Virgil Poling.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 13th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Bud McVey officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
