Paul David Woodyard

Paul David Woodyard, 89 of Ravenswood, passed away August 3, 2022 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. He was born October 3, 1932 In Grafton son of the late Clair and Lula Phillips Woodyard. He enjoyed dancing especially the Jitterbug where he won contests. When he became old enough to work he went to work at the family business, W. A. Woodyard Lumber Mill. In 1958 he moved to Ravenswood and went to work at Kaiser Aluminum where he retired after 31 years of service, but his true profession was Farming. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He, along with five of his siblings are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most siblings to celebrate 60 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Eva Chester Woodyard; his sisters, Donna (Pete) Isner of Ripley, Janice (Tom) Stemple of Ripley, Carol (Art) Stockett of Talmadge, and Suzy (Ken) Mitchell of Grafton; his children Paula (Thomas) Kays and Charles David (Jane) Woodyard; grandchildren, Christina, Grant, Emily, Lynsie, Tara, Cody, Kacy and Elijah; great grandchildren Indy, Emma Grace, Avaya, Carter, Slade, Emilee, Alyssa, Jonathan, Alex, Lillian, Chloe, Andrus, J.J., Josiah, Nick, Andrew, Crystall, Jessy and Xander. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen (Rick)) Houchen, brother James (Irene) Woodyard and sisters Nancy (Chuck) O’Connor, Mary Jane (Steve) Stephenson and Ruth Elaine (Harry) Lehr. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Tom Stemple, Victor Allen and Rick Olcott officiating. Burial and Committal service will be in the Woodsdale Memorial Park, Grafton, WV at 3:00 pm on August 8, 2022.
