Peggy Jean Greathouse

Peggy Jean White Greathouse, 64, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. She was born October 24, 1952 at Charleston, a daughter of Roy Edgar White, Sr. and the late Mary Jean White. She graduated from Ripley High School with the Class of 1970 and went on to attend Alderson Broaddus University where she obtained a B.S. of Nursing. She worked many years in the NICU Unit at Charleston Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Edgar Forrest Greathouse, Sr., of Ripley; Children Edgar Forrest Greathouse, Jr. and Heiddi Lea Greathouse; Grandson John Grant Lane IV; Brothers Roy E. White, Jr. and Rodney E.White and his wife Wendy L. Waggoner White; Nieces and Nephews Rodney Ethan White, Samantha Leann White Coon, Alyssa Jane White Carpenter, Roy E. White III, Keiah White Stewart, and Ashley White Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Ravenswood Cemetery.
