Peggy Ann Mccormick

PEGGY ANN ESTEP MCCORMICK, 93 of Ripley, WV entered her heavenly home on July 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Earl McCormick Sr.

Beginning her earthly journey on 12-22-1931 in Ridgeview, WV, she was the daughter of the late Jess & Clayte Estep. She went on to outlive her twelve siblings and their spouses. Also preceding her in death was her son-in-law, Chad Ray and granddaughter, Kelsey Renae Ray.

Peggy married the love of her life, Earl McCormick Sr. on November 30, 1948. Peggy loved the Lord with all her heart, leading by example, she devoted her life to caring for her family and helping others, but kept to her consistent routines. Always teaching and singing about Jesus. Along with her husband, they started a junior church at Valley View Village Church in Valley View, OH. She homeschooled her two daughters during their middle school years, while volunteering, and eventually working for the Salvation Army in Cleveland, OH. The family then packed up and moved to Burkburnett, TX, where she was famous for her well organized garage sales. She was a huge lover of babies and cared for several through the years in church nurseries (affectionately known as “Ms. Piggy”) and in her home. Eventually, retiring back to Elizabeth, and then Ripley WV. You could usually find her in her garden or tending her beautiful flowers. If not outside, she could be found playing a competitive game of Wahoo, Phase 10 or reading one of her many books, of which the Bible was her favorite.

Left to carry on her loving and caring legacy is sons, Earl McCormick Jr of Wichita Falls, TX; Randolph (Donia) McCormick of Orange Park, FL; daughters, Kimberly (Roy) Mullens of Wichita Falls, TX; Vanessa Ray of Ripley, WV. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A private, family memorial is scheduled for a later date.
