Phyllis Jean Smith

Phyllis Jean Hammack, of Ripley, WV, passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born on July 8, 1937, to the late Shirley and Irene Hammack. She worked for the Jackson Co. Board of Education for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, quilting, traveling, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Fred Hammack, and husbands Nelson Parker and Donald Smith.

She is survived by her children; Mike (Keith Anne) Nuckles and Cindy Randall; 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and sisters Dora Parsons and Betty Hamilton.

There will be a Graveside service held at 11:00 a.m. on September 26th at the James K. Polk Fisher Cemetery on Fisher Ridge in Kenna, WV.
