Ralph Balis

Ralph Edwin Balis, 68, of Sandyville passed away January 5, 2015 of injuries sustained in a fire at his home. He was born December 21, 1946 in Sandyville, a son of the late Samuel and Gatha Richards Balis. He was a farmer and known as a horseman. Ralph is survived by brothers, Leon(Sue) of Given, Delmas Balis of Ravenswood, and Paul Balis of Sandyville. Sisters, Peggy(Lowell) Thomas of Sandyville, Kathy(Corky) Hackney of Sandyville, Susie West of Sandyville, Bernice(Steve) Taylor of Sandyville, Rene(Ben) Lucky of Leroy, Marie Lucky of Leroy, and Patricia(Jim) Lucky of Leroy. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews, as well as 32 great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Eugene, Ronald, and Curtis Balis, nieces, Becky Balis and Jane Dfalzgraf, and a great nephew. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1 P.M. at Waybright Funeral Home. Friends may call on the family from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
