Randy Dean Staats, 60, of Ravenswood, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2022. Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on November 24, 1961, Randy was the son of Mary Kay Lyons Staats of Ravenswood and the late Orland L. Staats of Portland, Ohio. He retired from Parkersburg Waste Water Management Plant in 2020 and previously worked for Blacktop Paving and also installed satellite dishes. Listening to bluegrass/gospel music, bow hunting, and restoring vintage lawn tractors were things Randy truly enjoyed. He attended Drift Run Church. Survivors include his loving wife Deidra (Lowers) Staats of Ravenswood; daughter Katheryne Birkmeyer (Michael) and granddaughters Evelyne and Lydia, of Vienna; brothers Michael (Belinda) and Joseph (fiancée Kiersten) of Ravenswood and David (Wendy) of Ripley. A funeral service to celebrate Randy’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 8 at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley with Pastors Dana Leisure and Dave Long officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
