Randy Gene Wilcox, 64 of Ripley, WV, formerly of Mullens, WV died on March 28, 2024.
Randy is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Cathy, at home; his children, Chad (Caitlin) Wilcox of Mullens, Andy (Brandi) Johnston of Ripley, Adam (Rachel) Johnston of Mullens, Amanda (Thomas) White of Mullens and Mathew (Lily) Wilcox of Mullens; his mother (who he affectionately called “Mommy”), Joann Wilcox of Bud, WV; brother, Ronnie (Tina) Wilcox of Mullens and sister Sherry (Jim “Egg”) Edmond of Sevierville, TN; 15 beautiful Grandchildren, Lexi, Emma, Presli, Kynsli, Wyatt, Peyton, Ty, Aidan, Noah, Audrey, Brody, Jayse, Kenzi, Haisley and Ryder.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Wilcox.
Randy spent 38 years keeping the lights on for numerous coal mines in the area, finishing his career at Arch Coal, Beckley Complex.
He spent his final years with his wife building their dream homestead full of dogs, cats, deer, chickens, rabbits and flourishing gardens.
Randy loved working with his hands and there was nothing he couldn’t fix, build or create. He will be missed by all!!
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Mullens. Friends may call on the family from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at the church.
