Raymond Lee “Corky” Miller, 97 of Ripley, passed away May 28, 2026 at Mountainview Care Center in Ripley following an extended illness.
He was born February 1, 1929 in Charleston, son of the late Emma and Brady Miller. Corky served in the US Army and served on the Fire Department with the City of Charleston. While serving on the Fire Department he became the key driver of the Fire Truck for the crew and received a letter from the Mayor of Charleston along with an Award Certificate for his outstanding driving skills and his participation in the Mayor’s Safety Program. Corky lived on Fisher Ridge and Sugar Creek most of his life and was well known in the community.
He was married to Dorothy McKown, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death is a daughter, Connie Lou and his siblings, Virginia Paxton and Harold Miller.
He is survived by two sons who survive him, Raymond “Punkin” Miller and Donnie Miller. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In honoring “Corky’s” wishes, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Fisher Ridge, Kenna, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating.
