Regina Lee Boggess Newlon, 71, of Ravenswood returned to her savior and was reunited with her husband on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. She was born June 16, 1945 at Liverpool, WV a daughter of the late Clinton and Lilly Knapp Boggess. Regina was a school teacher who taught 1st and 2nd grade at Gilmore Elementary for 19 years. She loved music, crocheting baby blankets, and the Hallmark Movie Network. She was a Christian by faith who attended Sandyville United Methodist Church. She is survived by children John Newlon (Sherri) of Millwood and Rebecca Cavender of Sandyville; Brother John Boggess(Brenda) of Ravenswood; and grandchildren PFC Matthew Cavender(Emily), Michael Cavender, Mia Newlon, Timothy Combs, and Mackenzie Newlon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years William “Bill” Newlon. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jarrod Caltrider officiating. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Independence Cemetery, Sandyville.
