Richard E Chancey

Richard Elbon Chancey, 69 of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of Ripley passed away February 22, 2017 at VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso following a long illness. He was born June 6, 1946 in Ripley, a son of the late Elliott and Jacqueline Easter Chancey. He was a Boilermaker and a Master Mason Lodge 16 Ripley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife Barbara, son Richard II and nephew Greg Chancey. He is survived by Daughter Michelle and husband Larry Cox, brothers James L and wife Loujean Chancey, Dennie E and wife Mickey Chancey, Mark E Chancey and husband Monti Montgomery. Niece Heather Montgomery and Nephews Travis Montgomery, Todd Chancey, James Chancey, Travis Chancey, Nicholas Chancey, John Gable and Matt Gable. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with burial with Masonic Rites by Ripley Lodge #16 AF&AM following in the Fairplain Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of the service on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the funeral home.
