Richard "Butch" Collins

Richard Wayne “Butch” Collins 78 of Kenna, passed away March 9, 2023.

He was born August 20, 1944 in Charleston, son of the late Clarence Collins and Ruth Rhodes Collins Glassner.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita Faber Collins; sister, Judy DeWees; his children, Richard Chad Collins (Krista Belle), Melissa Harrison, Julie Toker, Susan and Eric Parrish (Donnetta); grandchildren, Lauren Weiss, Dylan Ramos, Meagen Jones, Logan, Payton and Brenton Knight, Levi and Lexi Collins, Drew, Carter and Kalyn Parrish; five great grandchildren.

Richard retired as service manager from White Dodge and Kia of South Charleston. He was a graduate of Ripley High School with the Class of 1963 and a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army. He loved cars, gardening and helping others. Work was his hobby.

Funeral Service will be 11;00 am Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley Pastor Herman Robinson officiating. Burial with Military Rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will follow in the Ephesus Cemetery, Grasslick Road, Ripley. Friends may call from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday, March 12, 2023 at the funeral home.
