Ricky D. Cummings

Ricky Cummings, 66 of Mt. Alto passed away March 25, 2022 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born April 27, 1955 in Spencer, son of the late Darrell and Mamie Bell Jeffries Cummings. He was a graduate of Ripley High School, Class of 1973. Following High School, Rick worked for the Dickirson Corporation and then for KEM Gas. He was a member of the Ripley Masonic Lodge AF&AM No.16 where he was Past Master of the Lodge and was also a member of the Eastern Star 16, Cottageville. Rick loved hunting and fishing, boating and traveling on Bus Trips with friends and cheering on the WVU Mountaineers. He is survived by his son, Casey Cummings; brothers, Randy (Delores) Cummings and Gary (Rhonda) Cummings; niece, Kimberly and nephew Scott along with a host of friends. Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites provided by the Ripley Masonic Lodge #16 will be in the Aplin Cemetery, Aplin Ridge Rd., Gay, WV In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Aplin Cemetery Fund, 4586 Aplin Ridge Rd., Gay, WV 25244.
