Rita Marie Casto

Rita Marie Casto, 80, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at CAMC Memorial Hospice following an extended illness.

She was born November 9, 1941 at Statts Mill, a daughter of the late Fred and Virgie Elva Rhodes Fields.

Rita was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, going to yard sales and planting flowers. She also enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family and others before herself.

Rita is survived by her children Shawn Casto (Missy) and Shannon Casto- Young (Mark); grandchildren Cori Marie Casto, Erin Rayann Casto, James Todd Hoffman, Faith Marie Casto and Lucas Glen-Anthony Young. She is also survived by a sister, Annabelle Carney.

In addition to her parents Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Glen Foster Casto; brother Radus Fields; sister Edith Buck and grandchildren Mason Young and Grace Casto.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, November 6th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Bud McVey officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Fairplain Cemetery.
