Robert Lee Bex

Robert Lee “Bob” Bex, 60 of Sandyville, WV, passed away on November 21, 2014.

He was born February 27, 1964 in Muncie, Indiana, son of Robert Bex Sr. and Shirley Rainey Bex. He was a graduate of Ball State University where he played Football, starting on two Raisin Bowl Championship teams, and was inducted into the Delaware County Indiana Football Hall of Fame. He served in the US Navy as a Navy Seal and retired after 33 years as an Aerospace Engineer. He enjoyed watching Football but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Melissa Thigpin Bex; his children, Robert A. Bex and Blake Bex and Brooke Bex; sons-in-law, Cody Hall and Randy Dover; daughter-in-law, Jessica Bex; brother, Kurk Bex; his grandchildren, Jordan Bex, Aubrie Bex, Reece Bex, Luke Bex, Valor Bex, Jaxon Hall, Jade Hall, Delilah Hall, Bishop Dover, Grace Dover and Karter Dover.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashleigh Bex and a grandchild, Skylar Hall.

His request for cremation is being honored and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, WV is serving the family.
