Robert "Larry" Boggess

Robert “Larry” Boggess, 75 of Sandyville, WV, went home to the Lord on August 24th, 2026.

Born March 5th 1951 to parents Robert and Hazel Boggess, he attended the First United Pentecostal Church in Ravenswood living a life dedicated to God and the simpler things in life. He retired from Hutchinson Supply, spending his time after retirement as a farmer and family man, enjoying the company of his brother, nieces and nephews, and the many great-nieces and great-nephews he adored.

In addition to his parents Robert and Hazel, he is united again in the pastures of Heaven with his beloved cow, Lulu.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother Joe Boggess (Kimberly); nephews Robert Boggess (Robin), Jeff Thompson (Jessica), Josh Thompson (Devona), and Justin Thompson; nieces Cathy Boggess and Katie Thompson (Derek); great-nephews Joey Boggess, Isaac Boggess, Jason Richards, Rocky Hall, Hunter Thompson, Joshua Thompson, Noah Thompson, Benjamin Thompson, and Adalyn Thompson; great-nieces Tru Lawson, Jaimie Richards, Lindsey Hall, and Loretta Thompson; as well as his flock of sheep and dear friends Carl Saucer and Sue Smith.

Services by Pastor David Johnson will be held at Waybright Funeral Home of Ripley, WV on Sunday September 6th, 2026 at 2pm. Those wishing to pay their respects and offer condolences are invited for a visitation from 12 pm to 2pm on the day of the service.
