Robert Glenn Yates Jr.

Robert Glenn Yates Jr., 63, of Ripley died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at the CAMC-Memorial Hospital in Charleston after a short illness. He was born November 7, 1951 at Charleston, a son of Zelda June Rowth Yates of Ripley and the late Robert Glenn Yates Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Gregory Lewis Yates, Sr. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Marilyn Gail Yates; sons Robert Lee(Alicia) Yates of Smither, Wesley "Buck" Yates of Brooklyn, NY; step-son Eddie Parsons of Sissonville; daughter, Nova Kathleen Yates of Connecticut; step-daughter Michelle Dawn(Jason) Wickline of Clendenin; four grandchildren, Chris and Ryan Wickline, Austin Parsons, and Brandy Baldwin; two great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Autumn. Robert loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as, taking care of the farm and animals. Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley with Richard "Dickie" Miller officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home two hours prior to service.
