Robert D. King

Robert Darrell King, 83, of Ravenswood passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston following an extended illness. He was born in West Hamlin, WV a son of the late John and Nellie Mullins King. Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a retired coal miner with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening as well as helping out any way he could at his church, Crossroads Church of God in Ocala, FL. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Janet King; children Alan King, Steven King and David King, Debra Conger, Tammy Flinn and Todd Winter; brother Richard King; sisters Shirley Wilson and Carolyn Sherman; grandchildren Ashley and Heather King, Megan Long, Justin Conger and Jamie Meadows. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. In honoring his wishes Robert will be cremated with a memorial service planned at later date at the Crossroads Church of God in Ocala, FL.
