Robert Leo Casto

Robert Leo Casto, 65, of Fairplain passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family following an extended illness. He was born August 31, 1954 at Fairplain, a son of the late Loren and Helen “Jack” Painter Casto. Robert was a carpenter by trade but was really a jack of all trades who could do almost anything. He served with the Army Reserves from 1975 until 1980. He loved motorcycles and was always on one from the time he was young until he could not ride anymore. He also enjoyed tractor and side by side rides with his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was also attended the Faith Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Jeannette Baker Casto; sons Estel Casto and David Casto (Kelsey); Grandchildren David “Hemi” Casto, Shelly Casto, Joey Casto, and Levi Casto. He is also survived by several extended family members and friends In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Loren “Lee” Casto. In honoring his wishes Rob will be cremated with no further services at this time. The family would like to extend a thank you to the nurses and aids at Jackson General Hospital and CAMC Memorial, as well as Hospice nurses Tina and Diane.
