Robert Gene Spencer

Robert Gene Spencer, 45, of Cottageville passed away Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown following an extended illness.

He was born September 28, 1977 in Charleston a son of Joyce Frazier and the late Robert Charles “Bobby” Spencer.

Robert was a 1996 graduate of Ripley High School. He was previously employed by Eldercare Health and Rehab in Ripley and owned his own lawn care and landscaping buseinss. Robert was described as just a good ole country boy who loved to play music and sing.

Robert is survived by his children Payton Spencer, Destin Spencer and Ashton Spencer; Mother Joyce Frazier and her husband Edward; brothers Jonathan Spencer (Natasha) and Raylon Frazier; sisters Kinley Frazier, Patty Frazier and Geanne Keaton. He is also survived by a grandson Lucas Spencer.

In addition to his father Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Spencer.

Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Friday, February 3rd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Marvin Welch officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
