Rodney White

Rodney White, loving husband, devoted father and super grampy, passed away October 27, 2021 at Roane General Hospital, Spencer. He was born September 5, 1965 in Charleston, son of the late Roy Edward White Sr. and Mary Jean Wolfe White. He was a graduate of Ripley High School, Class of 1983 and a retired Welder. He was a Farmer known as the “Mater Man.” He attended Lakeview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Wendy White; son Rodney Ethan White (Kayla Jarrett); daughters Samantha (Rusty) Coon and Alyssa “A.J.” (Matthew) Carpenter; grandchildren Ryder and Reed White, Amy and Ivy Coon (and Camden Coon due in December), Jacob, Riley and Hunter Carpenter; brother Roy White Jr. along with numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Jean Greathouse and beloved granddaughter, Ella Kayde Carpenter. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Bill Holley officiating. Burial will be in the Ravenswood Cemetery, Ravenswood.
