Roger A. Stoffel

Roger Alan Stoffel, 68, of Millwood WV, passed away December 1, 2020 after a long hard 48-day fight at Cleveland Clinic hospital, with his Loving Wife by his side, until the Lord called him home. He was born May 24, 1952 in Charleston WV, the son of the late Howard Stoffel Sr. and Juanita Mae (Jackson) Sharpe. He is survived by, his loving wife, Donna (Raines) Stoffel of Millwood, daughters; Laura Redman (Donald) and Tammy Stoffel of Ripley; stepson Michael C Morrow (Holli) of Ripley; Brothers Howard Stoffel Jr (Linda) of Sandyville; Steve Stoffel (Brenda) of Oak Island NC; Brooks Sharp of Marshall; Billy Sharp (Gloria) of Ravenswood; Sister Janet Hamby of Ripley; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Two of which, Eddie Stoffel and Timmy Robinson, who he loved like Sons. He could always depend on them for anything. Nearest and dearest to his heart were Lukas Cole Fisher and Michael Everett Morrow (Bam-Bam), Dakota Coon and Layken Coon though he never got to hold her. Roger was a proud veteran who served his country during the Vietnam war from 71 to 72. Before he was honorably discharged he received multiple medals. He retired from the City of Ravenswood as the maintenance supervisor after 20 years due to a liver transplant in June 2005. He spent his retirement enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, spending time with family and friends, and picking on those he loved.. Roger was loved by all who knew him, was always ready to help, had a smile on his lips, and laughter in his heart. He is preceded in death by his stepfather William Paul Sharp; Brothers, Earl Butch Stoffel and Bobby Sharp; Sisters Donna Tyler and Patty Sharp and father-in-law Everett O Raines. Special thanks to the staff at Cleveland Clinic hospital for the care and comfort they provided Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 5th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with James W Catron officiating. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Military Rites will follow the service and be performed by the Jackson County Honor Guard.
