Ronald Nile Stover, 91, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023 of natural causes at home. He was born August 15, 1931 in Raleigh County, West Virginia to Nile and Bessie Stover.
He was a graduate from Clear Fork High School and shortly after joined the air force. While enlisted in the air force he met Klarie Bea Hall on a blind date. Ronald and Klaire were married on January 22, 1955 in Colville, Washington. Shortly afterwards Ronald brought Klaire home to West Virginia. Ronald and Klaire lived all of their lives in West Virginia, with most of those years on their farm at Given in Jackson County. Ronald worked most of his life at the Kaiser Aluminum Plant and loved to farm, but most of all he loved playing music, his church and his family. Ronald attended Goodwill Community Church where he sang and taught sunday school. He also sang in various churches around the community. Ronald was an avid Bible reader and loved to discuss the Bible.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Selma Lois Stover, a sister Alice Ann Westhoff, a brother Travis Gene Stover, a brother Leroy Larry Stover, an infant child, and a son Wetzel Don Stover.
Survivors include his wife Klaire, a brother Emery Leon Stover (Sharon), two daughters, Ann Yvonne Austin (Ed) and Twilla Kaye Anderson (Stephen), two sons, Ronald “Jake” Stover (Leisa) and Rickey Nile Stover (Rita), 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Ed Austin and Aaron Melhorn officiating. Burial with military rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Given. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Following the burial, family and friends are invited to the Waybright Funeral Home for a celebration dinner.
