Ronnie Sheets

Ronnie Sheets, 61, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at CAMC Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

He was born October 4, 1961 in Kanawha County, a son of the late Leslie and Kathleen Belle (Godbey) Sheets. Ronnie retired from the WV Department of Highways following many years of service. Ronnie enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing and mowing his lawn.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betsy (DeWees) Sheets; son Andrew Sheets; grandchildren Cohen Sheets, Brantlee Sheets, Summer Wriston and River Wriston and sisters Connie Ellis (Jeff) and Diane Fore.

In addition to his parents Ronnie was preceded in death by brothers Andy, Michael, David and Randy Sheets.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22nd at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Ronnie requested that in lieu of flowers that donation be made to Kanawha Hospice or a charity of your choice.
